Les formes monstrueuses

The forms known as "monstrous" are quite as rare, but interesting to study. The opposite appearing specimen of hoplites presents an anomaly on last rolling up. One clearly distinguishes a depression from the "test" or shell. Accident undoubtedly due to a bite by a predator. Then the shell continued to push by keeping the scar.
For the specimen below (represented under 3 different angles) it is a little more enigmatic; initially on the sight on the right, 2 coasts meet abnormally at the peripheral top; then, it is towards the end of its life that abruptly the shell was abruptly tied without trace of clear break. Perhaps let us have to be done here with a disease or degeneration of the ammonite.
Another example below One clearly distinguishes the accident on the shell
